DESCRIPTION:This award seeks to recognize and assist an MBASC law student member committed to serving the public interest.  The scholarship’s recipient will be awarded the amount of $2\,030 to be applied to a preparatory course for the upcoming 2020 California bar exam. \nTo be eligible for the award\, an applicant must (1) be a law student expecting to graduate from an ABA-accredited law school in 2020; (2) be an MBASC student member; (3) complete the online application; and (4) submit a personal statement (1\,500 words\, maximum) explaining: \n1. The applicant’s past\, present\, and future commitment to the public interest;\n2. The public interest career that the applicant seeks to pursue following law school graduation;\n3. What motivates the applicant to pursue this career path and what professional goals the applicant hopes to achieve; and\n4.
